Bad Oeynhausen
North Rhine-Westphalia (NW) · Ostwestfalen-Lippe / Teutoburger Wald
€ 2.80
per person / night

Rate structure & calculation

The municipal Kurbeitrag is charged year-round in the defined spa area. The standard adult/day rate is EUR 2.80 per person per night (Gästekarte); the reduced rate is EUR 2.55. A person’s total charge for continuous or multiple stays in one calendar year is capped at the EUR 110 annual guest-card amount. The current version took effect on 1 January 2026.

Exemptions & reductions

Exempt are: people attending school, vocational training or working in the area (including military or alternative service); people staying free of charge with a local resident; people staying in non-spa hospitals; children and young people under 16 when accompanied by a legal guardian; guests staying at Ronald McDonald House Bad Oeynhausen; people unable to leave their accommodation because of a documented physical or mental illness; and necessary self-paying companions of persons with severe disabilities, provided the companion does not undergo a health treatment. Persons with a degree of disability of at least 50% receive a reduced rate. A temporary exemption for stays of no more than one night applied only through 30 June 2026 and is therefore no longer current as of 5 November 2026.

Short-term rental & host rules

The municipal rules cover paid accommodation and accommodation in the host’s own dwelling, including holiday apartments and other short-term lodging. Hosts must record the required guest data immediately on arrival for all guests (including non-liable guests), transmit it through the electronic guest-registration procedure to the Staatsbad, issue a guest card immediately to each liable guest, collect the Kurbeitrag and remit it to the Staatsbad after invoicing. Required data include name, address, arrival/departure dates, nationality, passport/ID number for foreign guests, date of birth and the applicable guest category/evidence. The cited municipal Kurbeitrag rules do not state a separate short-term-rental registration-number, Wohnraumschutz or Zweckentfremdungsverbot requirement; they regulate Kurbeitrag reporting and collection instead.
