From 1 January 2025, the Kurabgabe is €4.00 per person per day in Season A (1 April–31 October and 25 December–7 January) and €3.00 per person per day in Season B (8 January–31 March and 1 November–24 December). The arrival day is charged as a full day; the departure day is not charged. Annual stays are capped at €112 per person. The €4.00 high-season adult rate is used as the requested standard rate.
Exempt: children under 6; children aged 6–17 when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; certain unpaid family members/visitors staying with residents whose principal residence is in the municipality; people present for work or official duties when they do not use the facilities (or use is part of their job), subject to the required special pass; and people medically unable to leave their accommodation or unable to use the facilities because of mental illness, with proof where required. Reduced rates: 50% for students, trainees and pupils aged 18+, people with a disability rating of at least 70%, and a required accompanying person, plus registered conference/congress participants. Unaccompanied children aged 6–17 pay €0.50 per day; qualifying residents of the surrounding area pay €2.00 with an Umland-Einwohner-Karte.
For short-term accommodation, the municipal Kurabgabe bylaw treats holiday-room landlords, owners or permanent users who let dwelling units to third parties, camping operators and hostel operators as accommodation providers. The provider must immediately issue a guest card using the Tourism Centre’s forms; have the guest enter arrival/departure dates and home address and confirm the information; calculate and collect the Kurabgabe; remit it to the municipality’s Tourismus-Zentrale; submit form copies by the 15th of the following month; display the bylaw; and direct exempt persons to the Tourismus-Zentrale. A 2% collection charge may be added. The official sources found do not state a local short-term-rental registration-number requirement or a separate Zweckentfremdungsverbot/Wohnraumschutz permit. Separately, the municipality is addressing unauthorized holiday apartments through a non-binding urban framework plan, so hosts must also comply with applicable planning/building permissions; the tax bylaw itself does not create a registration number.
