Ahlbeck is an Ortsteil of the municipality Ostseebad Heringsdorf, so the municipality-wide 2026 Kurabgabe applies. The standard high-season adult rate is €3.70 per person per day/night from 1 April to 31 October. The low-season rates are €2.90 from 1 January to 31 March and €3.00 from 1 November to 31 December. Arrival and departure together count as one stay day, charged at the arrival-day rate. The annual flat rate is €103.60 (28 high-season daily rates). VAT is included. The charge also includes specified 2026 amounts for local public transport (€0.50 gross in Jan–Mar and €0.60 gross in Apr–Dec) and, in the high season, €0.30 gross for the hop-on-hop-off boat service.
Children under six are fully exempt. The 2026 municipal information states that the former exemption for close relatives of residents no longer applies from 1 January 2026; a separate refund may be requested for up to four family members per household for up to 20 days, subject to the stated municipal conditions. The host must collect and transmit the guest’s name, address, arrival and departure dates, date of birth, and—unless the guest objects to an electronic guest card—email address. Reporting must be made through the municipal electronic procedure where possible, or on the paper registration form, within one working day after arrival. Forms must be protected from unauthorised access and retained for one year; the bylaw must be displayed visibly to guests. The host must remit the collected charge by the 10th of the following month and remains liable for complete and timely collection and payment. The cited municipal Kurabgabe sources do not state a short-term-rental registration number, Wohnraumschutz permit, or Zweckentfremdungsverbot requirement.
