Bad Wörishofen
Bavaria (BY) · Allgäu
€ 3.60
per person / night

Rate structure & calculation

Bad Wörishofen charges a Kurbeitrag per stay day; partial days count as full days and arrival and departure together count as one day. From 1 April 2025, the adult rate (age 16+) is EUR 3.60 per day in Kurbezirk I and EUR 1.80 per day in Kurbezirk II. A person liable for the tax who does not stay overnight in the spa area pays the Kurbezirk I rate. The rate includes statutory VAT. The requested standard adult nominal rate is therefore EUR 3.60 per person per night/day.

Exemptions & reductions

Children and young people under 16 are exempt. Honorary guests are exempt, although the honorary-guest status has not been newly granted since 1 January 2020. A required companion is exempt where the disabled person’s ID shows the marks H or Bl. Patients of a specialist clinic who cannot leave their bed or clinic because of an acute condition, and clinic patients with a co-payment exemption from their health insurer, are exempt for the relevant period. Non-residents staying in Bad Wörishofen solely for work are exempt if they do not use spa or tourism facilities and provide suitable proof. Reductions: 30% for a disability rating of 80 or 90; 50% for 100; an accompanying person with mark B receives the same reduction; 50% for qualifying training courses, seminars, conferences, amateur-sport training camps and Kneipp Association members; and 20% for qualifying post-acute rehabilitation patients.

Short-term rental & host rules

The bylaw does not specify a separate short-term-rental registration number, housing-protection permit or Zweckentfremdungsverbot. It does impose host duties on anyone accommodating taxable guests or providing them with accommodation, including motorhome and campsite operators: report taxable and exempt persons, including exemption evidence and required stay data, electronically to the city no later than the day after arrival (and corrections no later than the day after departure); operators with fewer than 10 beds may report in writing, and the city may waive electronic reporting in hardship cases. Hosts must collect the Kurbeitrag, remit it to the city by the day after departure unless a later/month-end arrangement is permitted, and are liable for full payment. Guests who are not reported by a host must submit the required form themselves.
