The municipal Kurbeitrag is charged per person per stay day; the arrival and departure days count as one stay day. The standard adult rate is EUR 3.30 in Kurbezirk 1 (the entire municipality, including Oberjoch from 1 April to 14 December). In Oberjoch during the winter season (15 December to 31 March, Kurbezirk 2), the adult rate is EUR 3.80. Young people aged 6–15 pay EUR 2.00 in either district; children under 6 pay EUR 0.00. The municipality's 2026 fee overview confirms EUR 3.30 for the rest of the municipality and Oberjoch in summer, and EUR 3.80 for Oberjoch in winter.
Children under 6 are exempt. Persons with a certified degree of disability of at least 80% are exempt, and an accompanying person is exempt when a “B” (need for accompaniment) is recorded on the disabled person's pass. Business travelers may obtain an exemption on application under the special conditions in Annex A: it applies only to the business traveler (and qualifying employees participating in the business appointment), not accompanying family members; the business activity must involve direct personal contact in Bad Hindelang or within 20 km of its municipal boundary. Remote/home-office work does not qualify.
For short-term accommodation, hosts who accommodate guests or provide them with lodging—including accommodation businesses, private landlords, campsites and designated motorhome pitches—must collect the visitor-tax data and transmit the guest registration to Bad Hindelang Tourismus (BHT), normally electronically via the Allgäu-Walser-Card system no later than the day after arrival. Paper reporters must register guests in writing within three days after arrival and deregister them within three days after departure if the guest has not self-reported. Hosts must collect the tax, are jointly liable for its proper collection and payment, and must retain relevant registration records for two years. The reviewed official municipal sources do not state a separate short-term-rental registration-number requirement or a local Wohnraumschutz/Zweckentfremdungsverbot rule; those matters should not be inferred from this visitor-tax ordinance.
